Autumn is here. posted by Stuart 2024-09-08 11:18:23 Does anyone else get too comfortable on a site?
I'm slowly coming to realize that after being on the road for months, I love being on-site, haha. We are parked up for three weeks, and I hate to say it, but I'm loving it, not worrying about water or power, and the biggest of all, where to park!
Now the kids are back to school, site prices have massively reduced, so we like to take full advantage of this and take a rest for a little while and start to get the van winter-ready. Can you believe it's only 15 weeks till Christmas? ?
I love the adventure, but sometimes it's just nice being able to just breathe and not have to worry about van life problems for a few weeks, and don't even get me started on how bad the weather has been. But now we are in autumn, the leaves are changing color, and of course, the fluffy throws, candles, and pajamas come out ready for the dark nights. I can't wait...
Oh, and who is attending the NEC show later this year? We are, hehe, hope to see you there.
Until next time, keep safe.
Festivals
Last Festival Of The Season posted by Stuart 2024-08-11 14:11:25 Well, it's the last day of the Slumber Festival, and I now need a week in a field with nobody around for miles. We love being around other lighthearted people, making some new friends, and meeting up with some old ones, but after four days of barely any sleep (last time we arrive early and park right next to the main stage), I need peace and a good night's sleep. What has been the best festival this year? They are all very different in their own way. Vanlife Fest is very much a typical festival, rather large with a main stage and a lot of stalls. Vanlife and Overlander was very much a celebration of van life with everyone coming together to have a great time, and Slumber was a woodland festival with smaller stages making it feel more cozy. Next year, I think we will be attending all three again and adding a few more throughout the year. Festivals are a great way to meet up and be part of the amazing van life community for a few days before we all move on to our so-called normal lives. But right now, I need that spot in the middle of nowhere ?.
Till next time,
Stuart
Our Website
First Blog! posted by Stuart 2024-08-06 13:43:36 It's Alive! The webpage I mean.
It's finally happened! Andrew has created a web page so all you lovely people can be even more involved in our journey.
As of today (August 6th), our website is live, and you can see all our social media pages, posts, and more information about who we really are!
The fact that you are reading this means you have found the blog page, which is just another way for us to keep you updated on our journey and share some behind-the-scenes information and gossip that we don't put into our videos. We will also keep you informed about the dogs and Avandra (the motorhome), and we will try not to ramble on too much.
I don't know how often we will be posting on the blog, but we will try to use it as much as possible, so sit back, grab a cup of tea, and... enjoy reading all the gossip of van life with us. See you all soon.
Signing off,
The Boys
